Raikuu is an extraordinary and wide-ranging, both cultural and military historical, wholeness where centuries face up to. The hundreds of years old road and canal create the idyllic scenery, where the traces of wars are seen. By the guided 1.5 kilometers long trail you can explore three ferroconcrete dugouts and anti-tank defenses with too different types. Along the trail there are six info points, which familiarize you closely with destination’s forts and the Salpa-Line’s construction history with interesting details. A development project relating to the nature trail's quality and safety was meant to be started in May 2014. Unfortunately project was never launched, becauce city of Savonlinna decided not to pay it - even it was promised.
